Our clinical research is directly relevant to patient care - the researchers are clinicians themselves specifically dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of patients whose conditions have been most difficult to improve. The resulting knowledge and experience prepares our faculty to be extraordinary teachers who can address science and data but also the practical challenges of treating real patients. Historically, our core expertise was in the psychiatric care of the medical and surgical patient, yet our training and clinical programs have grown to address all the critical expertises of the modern psychiatrist, from psychiatric neuroscience to psychopharmacology and psychotherapies
